My non-profit work primarily focused on religious organizations like Christian Youth Theater Chicago, Naperville Presbyterian Church and World Relief. These organizations are very dear to me, making the design work extremely fulfilling, both on a person and professional level.
World Relief, an organization dedicated to helping refugees in the United States, requested fresh designs for their Volunteer Recognition event, including signage, apparel and a postcard. This event also included a food festival with food from around the world. Participants could take the postcard and have it stamped with the country from the food they ate!
The theme for this design was "Your heart has helped to make a home." The heart graphic is geometric and features a hidden 3-D house shape within it. This message is further highlighted by the color palette, which features warm, welcoming tones of yellow, orange and red.
NPC and REBUILD TOGETHER
This project was a joint venture between Naperville Presbyterian Church and Rebuild Together! Aurora, which promoted a local service event, targeting women and girls to assist veterans and seniors in need of home renovations and improvements.
The color palette for the designs was strong and earthy. (No pink!) Linear illustrations showed a variety of tools that would be utilized that day as well.
CYT Chicago serves the greater Chicagoland area, promoting faith-based children's theater productions. In order to support a holiday fundraising drive, CYT requested designs for a brochure and print mailer to highlight different ways to donate.
The designs utilized photography and bright, engaging graphics to communicate the mission of CYT along with a message of giving against a backdrop of fun imagery.
